Something REAL…

I was at the club with some friends laying out when I saw a stunning image traipse towards me. Her legs looked divine, slender and tight. I savored her hotness as my eyes climbed up to a perfect butt, barely hidden in the smallest of bikinis. Her abs taut and supple, accentuating the slimmest of waists. My eyes found her bikini top covered just the essentials. I felt a stirring in my loins. Only then did I look at her face. A face that was smiling right at me. Sweet Jesus! She was Rebecca! She looked even more beautiful now than when we were dating. “Alvs. I knew it was you. How are you? You look great.” She said after giving me a customary kiss….

“I'm your best friend and your doctor. Didn't I tell you that you would only lay out today and no workout of any type? You're sick and dating someone exclusively!” John said after handing me a towel to wipe my sins, I mean my perspiration.
“I know. I was just acknowledging someone from the past. You guys remember her, right?” I said after finishing my bottle of Voss.
“Of course I remember her. You and her at my parents' house. You perennial champ hit-me-anywhere college studly.” Derrick gushes and everyone erupted in cheers.

Rebecca asked me if I wanted to swim. With the strongest of restraints I declined. I was sick after all. I went home and didn't even wonder what would have happened had I stayed…

I realize that I don't have to stare listlessly at the plates before me anymore, in a half-empty restaurant with its shining silver and napkins folded like little hats. Now I can look beyond the muted lights without the awful gloom closing upon everything because I have someone in my life.
