Cry Me A River…

June 19, 2007

“I have often dreamed, of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome, would be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face…” Don't sing with me!

“What are you doing here? It's 10AM.” I asked Paolo while I try to go back to sleep. “I'm waiting for Christy and she told me to meet up here. We're having lunch with her today.” Paolo said after throwing a pillow at me.

“What is it? I know you. What?” I asked Christy then I grabbed the magazine she was reading. “Please don't. It's nothing. Just don't.” Christy said while Paolo and I started reading. “Gee whiz!”… It's an article, more like a whole page, about my ex. She has a new tv show, endorsement deals and crap…among other things.

“It's no biggy. I'm happy for her. She deserves it. (Who the fuck am I kidding?)” I told my friends after asking the waiter for another glass of water. (Please! I'm begging you. Put VODKA in it)

Breaking up with someone is always tough but dealing with the causatum is always tougher. Well, at least in my case. Imagine seeing your ex plastered around the metro and every reading material available? I remember seeing her face in a bottle of shampoo while having my post breakup vacation. It was so darn hard so I left the country and avoided the whole “this is my turf so what the fuck are you doing here type of conversation when you see your ex in your favorite restaurant?!”

Of course I was the victim. Give me a break! I was cheated on so I really came out as the modern day broken hearted Don Juan de Marco. I was given a hero's welcome when I returned. Everyone was so excited to see (date) me or at least to have a glimpse of me! Quoting a magazine, “The elusive, eligible bachelor, Hans Alvin Andre, back in tinseltown…” (This is my blog so stop raising your eyebrow!) :-)

“Let's do something tonight. I changed my mind about staying home and watching Heroes.” I told Paolo after giving my ticket to the valet attendant. “Of course. I'm not leaving you today. You don't have to tell us but I know…” Paolo said after giving me a tap on the shoulder.

“Are you tired of the game?” Paolo asks while we were in the car. I looked at him, turned on the radio and drove back home…

————————————————-

Now, you better sing(drink) with me!

"Like a shooting star, I will go the distance
I will search the world, I will face its harms
I don't care how far, I can go the distance
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms"

Still getting hurt after all this time shows that you still have emotions for this woman. You’ve got to find a way to get past this. On a side note, I will introduce you to a friend of mine, she will be able to take all your troubles away. Her name is “three boobed Brenda”. :P

Mica, I don’t watch local channels and just to be sure I already programmed my TV to skip her channel. hehehe

Sheila, thanks. I received the invites and I will do my best. I promise to let you know ahead of time.

Onyxx, I agree and I’m doing just fine. Well, there are still moments… Thank God I have friends around me all the time.

Virus, I wasn’t hurt. It was more like, “I thought good things only happen to good people”… hehe
Set me up. I can’t wait to see her magnanimous babies! :-)

My friends and I (we’re all heart broken), when we see someone dating, we shout “unsaon man nato ni sila, barilon?”(translation: what will we do to them?). Then someone will reply “ah, mag-bulag gihapon mo!” (translation: you’ll soon end up broken hearted!!!)Mwahahahahaha!!! HARSHNESS!!!!! I HATE LOVE! LOL… Who invented falling inlove ba? Para mapatay ko!!! hahaha!

Marc, I agree. I am living my life to the fullest… I promised my friends that there will be less drama in my life for the next few months… hehehe

Janus, thanks for singing. Where have you been? :-)
Thanks for the translation. My friends and I could be more mean when we see scandalous couples. I usually flash my close up smile and lure her away from him… hehehe

Hmm.. so that’s the girl huh? Eh, well, just keep skipping her channel. And don’t feel bad about ‘good things happening to bad people’. These are temporary stuffs. :)

Just hang on to your good friends, they’ll keep you sane.. while singing hehehe.. :) Take care!

Only good things happen to good people — nah. Bad things happen to everybody, and it just plain sucks. 0_0

Good thing you’re a strong guy though! Eligible bachelor like you shouldn’t have a hard time finding girls to get to know. ;) You never know… Love might be around the corner. Or around the fifth or sixth corner.

In any event, it doesn’t hurt to avoid her completely. -_-

Janus, that’s why people can’t get enough of me… hehehe

Sweetperceptions, thanks a lot. Sometimes, I just don’t really get it… but i will never wish harm on anyone. I’m just so blessed to have the almost (gorgeous but sometimes weird) friends.

Celle, sometimes charm can only take you as far… hehehe I wonder, why do people still take advantage of me considering I always flash my close up smile when they ask me to? :-) I’m sure the right one is at the corner of Madison.
