Unbutton My Shirt?!

April 23, 2007

“You are undeniably gorgeous, couth, and everyone's best friend so showing your nasty side once in while is fine.” Christy says while showing a photo of us having the time of our lives at the Devil's Bar in Singapore. “And what is wrong with that again?” Andrew asks while handing the keys to the valet attendant.

“I will never throw myself in the spotlight like that again for the rest of my life. I was horribly drunk and I can't believe you still have that photo.” I told Christy after we primped and posed for photogs. “Shut up and just smile. I can't wait to get inside and start downing shots.” Christy says as she smiles like a pro to give the folks their fix.

Harlem is in town! Did I just say it out LOUD? One of my best friends who is based in New York decided to grace the cover of our Tinseltown and threw a party in the penthouse at FS. The place was packed and all the revelers were in high gear to have a glimpse of one of the world's most eligible bachelors.

“This is exactly what I'm talking about Alvs. You and Harlem are from a dying breed. Nice guys aren't exactly common and you are two of the nicest.”  Christy said after downing her first shot for the evening. “What do you want me to do? Take off my shirt in public and sleep around like a 20yo kid?” I told Christy after asking for another VRB. “Look around you. We are always at the best parties and people crowd our booth like it's the popular kids' table in high school. Do you have any idea what that means?” Christy said then started kissing her date. “Dude, please remind me not to send my  future daughter to boarding school.” I told Andrew as we pay tribute to Christy's spit-swapping marathon for the evening.

The following day, I met up with Harlem for some catching up. I told him that Christy grilled me at his party for being too nice…
I was really surprised that he agreed on everything. Harlem made me realize that we tend to shield ourselves from seeing the horrors of our lives. Our whole being wants nothing but happiness, so we're reluctant to see those scenes of our past once again. In the end, we tend to place it safe! Like Harlem, I used to party a lot, play the field, and say a prayer that she gets the message the morning after…

Now that I'm a bit older (darn, this is so hard to type), perhaps, it's time to unbutton my shirt and show more skin to shape a new beginning?!

Cheers!

Well living life in the wild side once in a while isn’t that bad. :) Whatever you do, we would still like you. Just don’t forget to blog anything “wild” that you might do. ;)

Posted by twistedkai at April 23, 2007, 9:24 pm

Loosen up your buttons babe hehehe :)

I think unleashing a person’s wild side is ok as long as you are responsible enough to know your limitation..

i mean there’s no limitation in that case lol :P

btw i’m turning 20!!! hmmmm…. time to prty? hahaha

Posted by micamyx at April 23, 2007, 9:53 pm

yeah unbutton it for the new beginnings!!! hehe

And don’t forget to live life no matter!!! :)

Long live the beer drinkers! lol :)

I say go for it man. this is a tropical country so you can get away walking around shirtless all the time. 9am, 20 laps min, so quit this now so you don’t have any excuse in the morning. :-)

it’s the morning after, and you’re not exactly sure about what happened… that’s when interesting photos and folks with photographic memory appear :)

Posted by onyxx at April 23, 2007, 11:14 pm

Kai, you can count on it. I only blog when something interesting happens in my life. :-)

Mica, Happy Birthday. Yes, you’re about to enter the party decade so enjoy every moment of it!

Janus, I will unbutton or probably just take it off for a new beginning. hehehe! Man, beer is not really my favorite drink so can we just say “long live the drinkers?” :-)

Drew, I’m prepared and ready to win once again…. hehe

Onyxx, maybe a video of exactly what happened would have been better? :-)

What is this unbuttoning of the shirt thing? You turning to a man whore?

Just kidding. Hey, if I were in your place Alvs, I’d sure be loosening up more. Afterall, you are single, so enjoy being single! :D

You? Too nice? What manner of chicanery is this?! Would you like a scepter of deceit to go with your crown of lies?!

Hahahahaha. Kidding.

Seriously though, I worry that you may be limiting the scope of your world, you being used to glitz and glamor or something of the sort. Fact of the matter is, the world is a MUCH BIGGER place than the gilded towers and cool parties you always seem to talk about. Guess what buddy, the rest of the world isn’t always as nice. Should you be less nice then? I don’t know. Should you be more in touch with the rest of reality? DEFINITELY.

Posted by Adam Mordo at April 25, 2007, 2:26 pm

Adam, are you crazy? Is there anything more fun than partying, clubbing, and watching football? hehehe

I remember a friend of mine once told me, “shopping helps a dying economy.” This is actually true. :-)
I’m in touch with reality and that is - Working hard and playing even harder when I can. Peace man! I’m still a fan of your manblog!

Hahaha!!! Very entertaining.. also reading through the comments.. :P

Hey, I think you should really try to loosen up a bit. Unbuttoning your shirt is the first step, but you may want to just take it off instead.. after all its summer.. People won’t mind seeing topless guys walking about.. Hehehe.. Just make sure you’re gonna be topless in the right places.. hehehehe..

Cheers!

Posted by sweetperceptions at April 26, 2007, 10:02 am

Sweetperceptions, if only I could…
I’m sure people won’t mind seeing a topless guy especially if his body is to die for?! hehehe
Right places? You mean at the mall on a Sunday? hmmm Sounds like a good idea. :-)

Take it easy!

Posted by planetalvin at April 26, 2007, 1:12 pm

i say let somebody else do the ‘unbuttoning’. that should make things more interesting. doing it yourself is too easy. :p

Posted by fence at April 27, 2007, 5:01 pm

Fence, I agree. Why do you think I’m out partying all the time? hehehe

Are you in Manila already?
