Black American Express Card and My Friends…

My date and I rush past the velvet rope and dive into the club. “I don't line up.” Gushes my date. Everyone stares with an exasperating roll of their eyes as we swagger in. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas… I keep telling myself that it's only a date… Oh well!

As always, the never ending smooching, hobnobbing, and people's doe eyed visage when I introduce my date… Darn, the evening started with an intimate dinner but slowly turning into a battle of the “gagglers”. I need a drink.
As if on cue, Arnel appears with a glass of Champagne which I practically grab and suck down within seconds…. I feel so much better.

Finally, my phone is ringing and my size zero friends are looking for me. “I'm on my way… “ Gee Whiz! My friends really know when to rescue me from an impending disaster.

Anyhow, Yasmina decided to invite her original posh and polite “Tali” friends to her humble abode in Rockwell. A place where she nestles her well-manicured self for now… What a life! Such a delight to be with people you care the most once in a while…right?!

Here's the rundown: The perennial Oscar wearing Marie with a new blackberry is still madly inlove with her dignified Greek shipping heir. Yes, we are expecting a princely proposal from her Zegna/Zara friendly beau anytime soon. Of course, a party is not page six worthy without the newly weds, Ej and Ced. My favorite perfect couple! Oh, I remember their fairy tale wedding. You would die of envy… huhuhu! Also, Michelle, fresh from Hell-Ay, graced the event and made a big announcement. She met someone… Bouncer Mark, do you want to know what happened? I guess so. Yes, she is “almost” engaged. Hahaha! Her new tycoon beau gave her a Tiffany promise ring. No tears, okay?

Now, what's up with the Armas kids? Our dear jet setter Marivi has finally chosen where to station her sweeth tooth – a simple place at the Emerald Hill, Orchard Road. Thank God, it's just 4 hours away from Manila… Then there's Carlos. Dude, we all know that you and Danielle are meant for each other. She is the one for you so what are you wating for???
Oh Jessica, our princess, all grown up. She has it all - a promising career and a profound love from Ziggy (not the barber). She fought for her love, gave up everything and went to Switzerland to immortalize their romance. Like Yasmina, she now speaks 5 languages. I can hear Angela Bassett singing "What's Love Got To Do With It"… Hahaha! Seriously, we all wish them the best. A picture of another perfect couple. OUCH! Take me with you when you go back to Switzerland. Darn, I'd kill myself if this kid marries before I do. What about me??? (Michelle's voice)…

Hold on to something now because Yasmina has an even bigger announcement. “This is it”, she says. We all thought she was going to announce the Royal Wedding? There is silence in the room as she grabs her bag and shows us what dreams are made of. Drum roll please!!! Her new BLACK American Express Card! Oh my God! Everyone congratulated her. “You can purchase a jet with that card”, Marie shouted. “She can buy this whole building”, Ej says. “She can buy a third world country.” I shouted. Yes, this black credit card promises to simplify the lives of the harried rich. An ultra-exclusive black card for the elite customers given to her by her Royal fiance. Life is so unfair! Hahaha

Lastly, I made an announcement as well. “I'm not trying to be alone so much. Life is a struggle and I need someone who will hold my hand as I climb the top of the mountain. Yes, I'm dating”. Everyone started shouting…. Hugs and kisses from the Tali group!

Who knows? I'm not certain which direction things are headed in. However, this is the best time to take stock of my feelings and figure out what I really want. And if I want to make this relationship work, there are things that I can do to make my connection a stronger one!
